George Orwell’s Animal Farm has been released with various covers over many decades. A new cover was needed to stand out from existing designs and emphasize the feeling of the book.
To approach this design, the gritty, violent undertones of the book were taken into consideration. The colors, textures, and fonts used were chosen to echo these themes and emulate the overall tone of the story.
The resulting designs used an illustration of a pig, gritty, red textures, and towering
san-serif fonts.
